Get Ready to Sweat for a Cause: Push-Ups for Charity is Back!

Mark your calendars! Recoup’s 15th Annual Push-Ups for Charity is happening May 30th, and if you’ve never experienced it before, now’s the time to jump in. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic, a casual gym-goer, or someone who wants to make a difference, this event is for you.

Push-Ups for Charity is an annual community event hosted by Recoup Personal Training to benefit the Boot Campaign, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting U.S. veterans and their families. Think of it like a jog-a-thon—but with push-ups! Participants raise money by collecting per-push-up donations and then perform as many push-ups as they can in just 90 seconds.

And if push-ups aren’t your thing, no worries! We believe everyone should have a chance to be part of this event in their own way. Whether you choose to sponsor someone, join the raffle, or simply cheer us on, your support means the world. We’d love for you to be involved!

What is the Boot Campaign?

The Boot Campaign was founded by five women from Texas who recognized the challenges many veterans face when transitioning back to civilian life. What started as a simple mission to get people to put themselves in a soldier’s boots and say thank you has grown into a powerful movement.

To date, the Boot Campaign has served over 9,500 veterans and their family members, offering customized care through several impactful programs:

  • Health & Wellness Program – Offers individualized, holistic care for service-related conditions like PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic pain, trauma-based insomnia, and self-medication.
  • Seasons of Service Program – Provides curated gifts and financial relief during difficult times or seasons of hardship.
  • Lace Up, America – Encourages people to wear combat boots in everyday life as a symbol of gratitude and a way to raise awareness for veterans’ needs.
  • You Matter – Tackles the veteran mental health crisis head-on, helping break the stigma around seeking care and preventing suicide.

Together, these programs provide life-changing support and long-term healing for veterans.

Why the Boot Campaign Matters to Recoup Personal Training

Many members of our Recoup family have loved ones who have served in the military. We’ve seen how veterans can be overlooked and underserved, and we knew we wanted to support an organization that truly makes a difference.

The Boot Campaign’s mission deeply aligns with the values we care about. And their strong track record of financial transparency and thorough annual audits gave us even more confidence in partnering with them.

Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand the real impact of the Boot Campaign, and we’re proud to support them year after year.

Get Fit. Have Fun. Make a Difference.

Push-Ups for Charity is about more than just raising money — it’s a chance to move your body, connect with your community, and support a cause that truly matters.

  • Get Fit – Since donations are based on how many push-ups you can do in 90 seconds, training ahead of time can help you raise more and improve your fitness. Push-ups are accessible for most fitness levels, and we’re always happy to offer modifications.
  • Have Fun – We work hard to make this event fun for everyone involved! Along with the push-up challenge, there will be vendors, raffles, and more for attendees to enjoy.
  • Make a Difference – So far, Recoup Personal Training and its community has raised more than $275,000 for the Boot Campaign through Push-Ups for Charity. Our goal is to raise $25,000 in 2026, and we know we can get there with your help!
