Winter Chai Smoothie Recipe

Winter Chai Smoothie Recipe
Smoothies are not just for summer – they are an easy way to get quality nutrition year round, especially when they are built with intention! This one combines frozen fruit and a veggie for fiber and antioxidants, plus nut butter for protein and healthy fats, giving you a smooth, satisfying blend that actually keeps you full.
The homemade chai base is what makes this smoothie feel right for winter. It adds warmth, great flavor, and natural immune support, making this a simple, nourishing option for colder months when you still want something easy and energizing.
INGREDIENTS (Yields 2 Servings)
- 2 cups milk of choice
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tsp homemade chai spice mixture (recipe below)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/3 cup frozen cauliflower
- 1/4 cup frozen cherries
- 1/2 cup of frozen berries (I usually use a mix of strawberries and blueberries)
- 1 tbsp nut or seed butter of choice
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or Chia seed
(Additional optional add-ins: 1/4 cup frozen aloe vera, 1 tablespoon collagen powder, 1 teaspoon lion’s mane mushroom powder, 1 teaspoon ashwagandha)
Chai Spice Mix Ingredients
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp ground clove
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tsp ground ginger (if you like it milder, use only 2 tsp of ginger)
(Mix all the spices together and store in an airtight container.)
DIRECTIONS
- Add the milk, chai spice mix, and maple syrup to a blender and blend briefly until combined.
- Next, add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
